This group show brings together a collective of 10 artists based

all over London working with the mediums of paint and

photography. All artists are reacting to the world around them

and the relentless grind of crisis. They come together on this

day 21.12.12, a time when great changes were predicted from

the past.

The Docklands is right on the river, this exhibition draws on the

water that flows like paint throughout this show, as the oily

Thames mirrors the obsessiveness of these 10 painters. The

turbulence of the thick paint rushes and washes over the canvas,

sometimes slowly then vigorously and violently brushed on, and

then calmly the moon pulls this matter of lightness and

blackness. The colour pigment is pushed and pulled like a tide

that turns when the time of one thing is over and a new thing

begins.

These are unknown artist’s emerging in unknown times, some

have been producing work for many years that have been

brought together in this group show at the end of 2012. The

group includes exhibitors from the Thread Needle prize, the

Cork Street Open 2012 as well as a solo show in the Norman

Foster Building 10 Gresham Street.
